Enjoy a special stage production of The Wiz with introduction of some of the original munchkins.

The first weekend in October, the Road to Oz (otherwise known as Highway 99 and Lincoln Avenue) closes down to celebrate one of America’s best known fairy tales – The Wizard of Oz. OZtoberFest festivities include autograph sessions with the Munchkins, kids’ inflatable play area, Yellow Brick Road  bike ride, food and craft vendors, live entertainment,a Ruby Slipper Run, car show, and activities for the entire family. A special stage production of The Wiz is performed at the Columbian Theatre, which often features cameo appearances by some of the original Munchkins. Other special guests, who are available at book signings and autograph sessions, include relatives of L. Frank Baum and famous collectors and historians.
