Theater Productions

Columbian Theater Shows
The Columbian Theatre offers professional stage productions, ranging from Broadway musicals to country jamborees.

The Columbian Theatre offers year-round entertainment opportunities for the entire family. The unique second floor Peddicord Playhouse is the venue for professional stage productions, ranging from Broadway musicals to country jamborees. The theater is also home to the largest single repository of artifacts from the 1893 World’s Fair. These include the beautifully restored murals that line the walls of the Playhouse. The ground floor of the theater houses the Swogger Gallery, which features changing art exhibits.

Did You Know?

The American Bison – commonly known as the American Buffalo – is not actually a buffalo, as it is only distantly related to the Water Buffalo and African Buffalo. The nickname, “Buffalo,” originated with French fur trappers during the 1600s.
