Sky Diving

Sky Diving
Dude – you’ve GOT to try this!

If you’ve ever wanted to jump out of an airplane, the opportunity to do may be closer than you think.  The Wamego Airport is the drop zone for the Kansas State University Parachute Club. Of course, on this jump you’ll have a parachute and expert instruction. Be sure to call ahead and make an appointment. You can skydive strapped to an instructor (tandem) or by yourself (static line).

  • Anyone at least 18 years of age and weighing less than 220 pounds is welcome to experience the thrill of skydiving.
  • Jumps are typically available every weekend, depending on weather.
  • Both tandem and static line jumps require at least some training, with static line jumps requiring a two-day prep-course.
  • First-timers should expect to pay between $160 and $170, which includes training, club dues, gear rental and your first jump.*
  • After that prices range from $5 to $36, depending on how high you’re jumping from and the type of jump you’re completing.*
  • Must call for an appointment prior to training or jump.
