Pottawatomie State Fishing Lake No. 2

On these 247 acres you can hike the Flint Hills, camp on the west side of the lake, canoe, picnic and fish. There are 12 fishing piers, three floating docks, and one ADA accessibly boat ramp as well as 179 acres of wildlife refuge and a 75-acre lake stocked monthly with Channel Catfish during the summer, Crappie, Walleye, Bluegill and Black Bass.  A special events area is available by reservation only.  Boats requiring registration are allowed for fishing only. Vessels not requiring registration, including canoes, kayaks, paddle boats, etc., may be used on the lake for recreational use.  The park also has four ADA compliant, unisex vault toilet areas. Located 14 miles from Wamego.

No hunting allowed.

Directions

Travel west on Hwy 24 – 11 miles
Turn right (going north) on Green Valley Road – 1.5 miles
Take a left on Blue River Road – 1 mile
Follow the State Lake signs, turning right, until you arrive at the lake.
