Bison Experience

Bison Experience
Feed bison in their natural habitat at the Lazy Heart D Bison Ranch.

Bison once roamed this area in enormous numbers.  At the Lazy Heart D, located 10 miles from Wamego, you can experience the rare opportunity to see these grand creatures up close.  Enjoy a wagon tour through timber to pasture where the bison are close enough you can feed them.  Be sure to bring your camera!

Tour is 90 minutes long, 30 people max per tour. Learn about the history of bison in the area, their natural characteristics and how they are cared for. Take home with you a cut of grass-finished, hormone-free, and antibiotic-free bison or beef.  Meat is sold by the cut or in larger packages of cuts.

View the original site of the Wamego Dutch Mill, which was moved to City Park in 1924. Proceeds from the wagon tours go to Wamego Community Health Ministries.
