Louisville Roundabout

The beginning of this route takes you past historic old stone homes and through gracious suburbs. The remainder of the rarely traveled gravel roads takes you deep into the country surrounding Wamego and allow for a tour of surrounding farm and ranching country. Two miles of this 25-mile route are paved and about half a mile is dirt road. Take the opportunity to pause on the north end’s hilltops for particularly scenic ranching views. Restrooms are available in Wamego.

Did You Know?

The American Bison – commonly known as the American Buffalo – is not actually a buffalo, as it is only distantly related to the Water Buffalo and African Buffalo. The nickname, “Buffalo,” originated with French fur trappers during the 1600s.
